  21.        On-line Spelling Checker Developed Exclusively for AppleLink

  23. BOSTON, MA, August 6, 1991 --  Microlytics Inc. introduced today Spell Finder™
  24. for use with AppleLink®, the first on-line spelling checker and verifier
  25. developed exclusively for AppleLink. The program provides spelling for 100,000
  26. words and is available in 12 different languages. Spell Finder for use with
  27. AppleLink will be available this September for site licensing and retail
  28. distribution.

  30. AppleLink is the popular on-line information service maintained by Apple
  31. Computer which provides information about Apple and third party programs and
  32. products. Spell Finder offers several options for checking a document for
  33. correct spelling. Users can either correct their spelling as they type, or
  34. check their entire message or any portion of it, after it has been typed.

  38. Finder, anyone can make sure their messages are spelled correctly, which makes

  42. correction technology which contains the most comprehensive list of words found
  43. in a spell checking program. In addition to thousands of modern terms and
  44. proper nouns frequently used in daily correspondence, such as names, places and
  45. companies, Spell Finder also includes many inflected forms of words not found
  46. in printed dictionaries such as overachievement, leveraged, and
  47. unsubstantiated. Standard Microlytics' Spell Finder features such as replace,
  48. learn and suggest are also included in the AppleLink version. As an added
  49. feature, Spell Finder for use with AppleLink is also compatible with MacWrite
  50. II user dictionaries.
